October 2, 2015 we arrived in Barcelona Spain early evening.
Our hotel is in the city center area, and and today we did a little walking.
Just down the street from us we came to a main cross street and it is what appears to be both a banking center and many, many designer shops.
Beautiful buildings, most appear to be businesses below and residences above. Many of the buildings have beautiful (Juliet) balconies.
Tomorrow we plan to take one of the HOHO buses on it’s two circuits so we can see more of the area.
Barcelona is a big city, with it’s urban area covering 415 square miles, population over 1.6 million. Not as large as Houston but pretty big. It is the second largest city in Spain.
On the 6th we are meeting up with 20 or so of the other people who will be on the first cruise with us.
On the 7th we board Vision Of The Seas and we won’t have to move again until we reach Florida on Saturday November 14.
Here are some random pictures taken today while walking around.
Today, October 4 we had two HOHO routes. One did a circle to the East and the other a circle to the West. Total time about 4 1/2 hours.
In some areas today it seemed there was a lot of smog or haze.
I really don’t think I got much in the way of decent pictures.
