Yugoslavia was a country in South East Europe that came into existence in 1918 and was ruled by a monarchy until 1945 when the communist party of Yugoslavia came into existence. With Tito as the president until his death in 1980.
With the decline of the communist party is the 1990s, Yugoslavia separated into the countries of Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Macedonia.
After docking at the port of Koper, Slovenia we drove to Ljubljana, the capitol and largest city in Slovenia we took in the many sites of the city, including old town, a portion of the city from the Venetian era.
Next we visited Piran, a small town in South Western Slovenia. The town has much medieval architecture with narrow streets.
The dragon bridge is a bridge located in Ljubljana that was built in the beginning of the 20th century to replace an earlier bridge damaged by an earthquake in 1895.
According to local legend, the dragons will wag their tails when a virgin crosses the bridge. Some local people have named this bridge “mother in law” because of it’s fiery nature.

June 7, 2017 Zadar and KRKA Croatia are beautiful.
Today we visited KRKA National Park in Croatia where the scenery was absolutely beautiful. The pictures speak for themselves.
KRKA National Park is the location where the world’s second hydroelectric power plant began operation in 1895, just two after Tesla’s hydroelectric power plant at Niagara Falls.
Two Texans lost in Croatia
After KRKA National Park we spent the rest of the day sightseeing in Zadar Croatia.
Zadar is located on the Dalmatian coast, where the breed of Dalmatian dogs came from originally. But alas, we did not see any Dalmatian dogs in Zadar. Evidently all the remaining Dalmatian dogs are busy riding fire trucks throughout the world.
